Open and Affirming
On October 17, 1999, the congregation of Falcon Heights United Church
of Christ voted to become an Open and Affirming congregation by adopting
the Statement of Mission and Identity.
This statement affirms our welcome to all people to be included in the full life of the Church, and to strive for healing and reconciliation between the institutional church and the people it has wounded.
Faith, Family, Fairness Alliance
During the February, 2006 Congregational Meeting, Falcon Heights United Church voted to publicly support the Faith, Family, Fairness Alliance of OutFront Minnesota. The resolution passed by the congregation states "We oppose any amendment to the Minnesota Constitution that prohibits marriage, civil unions and/or legal protections for same-sex couples."
