Summer mission project: Homelessness

Settled is a summer immersion learning project where our youth will learn about poverty and homelessness in the Twin Cities. This experience will culminate Aug. 1 with the building of a tiny home. We are partnering with leaders, youth, and parents from St. Anthony Park UCC, St. Paul’s UCC, UCC New Brighton, and Zwingli UCC in Berne.

Minnesota Conference Annual Meeting

FHC youth group members, Emerge mentees, and their mentors are in for a busy spring and early summer. We have been invited to create a Call to Worship video for the opening worship service at the Minnesota Conference UCC Annual Meeting on June 10-11. We’ll also be performing a dramatic reading of the Lazarus story for the final service of the Annual Meeting Saturday, June 11, at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.

En route to the meeting June 11, we’ll be going on a road trip to visit some “natural sacred spaces” and human-made spaces.
