Drive in after church this Sunday, Nov. 15, to drop off Thanksgiving donations for the Department of Indian Work food shelf at Interfaith Action. You may drop off food from 11:30 to noon Sunday, or at church during the week in or near the grocery cart. Call Nancy Duffrin at 651-348-7880 if you want items picked up from your house.
These are the most desirable items:
Items that are in short supply from the food shelf’s discount sources:
- Peanut butter
- Cereal
- Canned Fruit
- Healthy snacks such as nuts or dried fruit (no gummy fruit snacks)
Items that DIW cannot buy with its discount funding and that people cannot get with SNAP:
- Cleaning supplies
- Personal hygiene (feminine hygiene products are especially needed)
- Toilet paper
- Tissues
You can also make money donations to DIW through Falcon Heights Church’s donation portal. The DIW can use your gifts to purchase many food items at lower cost than we can.
