This summer our church will reach out to our neighbors with a Little Fresh & Free Market, featuring free produce from local gardens and tips on eco-sustainable practices for homes and gardens.

We’ll have a small produce stand in front of the church Wednesday, June 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., and will continue on July 13 and 27, and every Wednesday evening in August.

Neighbors and passersby will be invited to take whatever they want, leave whatever they’d like to share with others, and learn about eco-sustainability.

We think it will be a great way to share the bounty of our gardens with others, reduce some of the need for packaged produce from supermarkets, decrease food waste, educate ourselves further about environmental sustainability, and enjoy informal chats around the food stand with FHC folks and neighbors.
