Adam Miller hired as music director
Adam Miller has been hired as music director of Falcon Heights Church. He’ll direct our choir, once pandemic restrictions on singing have eased, and will work with Rev. Rick King and small ensembles of singers and instrumentalists to plan and provide music for worship.
Miller has a bachelor of science degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He has been a high school choir director (Totino-Grace in Fridley and Craig High School in Janesville, Wisconsin) and currently serves as choir director and audio specialist at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Fridley. He also works as a training specialist for Infinite Campus in Blaine, which develops student information systems software for schools.
“He’s an enthusiastic, outgoing person,” said Marv Fabyanske, who led the search committee for music director. “He has marvelous credentials and is an excellent pianist. He also loves working with children.”
While Miller is not an organist, Karen Johnson has agreed to return to play the organ on occasion, Fabyanske said.
Welcome, Adam!
