Introducing Ellie Coleman, nursery attendant!

July 3, 2024

By Rev. Rick King

It gives me great pleasure to introduce our new nursery attendant, Ellie Coleman! Ellie’s name came to us via Music Director Adam Miller, and I ask you to join me in welcoming Ellie to the Falcon Heights Church staff.

Stop by the nursery starting July 14 and meet Ellie! She’s friendly, confident, and easy to talk to. Her weekday position is as a lead at the Edina Kids’ Club, held at an elementary school, where she works one-on-one and with small groups of elementary-age children, leading STEM projects, crafts, and other activities.

Prior to that, she worked for the Reading Corps at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School in Duluth, tutoring a diverse group of children from kindergarten through third grade in basic reading and English skills.

She learned to ride horseback at Diane Williams Riding in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and worked there as a youth, caring for horses, doing stable maintenance, and giving some riding instruction to students of various ages and abilities in the stable’s riding program.

Her high school diploma is from the Minnesota Connections Academy in St. Paul, an online charter school, and she has taken some general college requirements at Inver Hills Community College.

Ellie’s references described her as dependable, punctual, and responsible, as well as excellent with children. She is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, having earned both her Bronze and Silver Awards, and was active in Job’s Daughters International, the partner Masonic youth organization to DeMolay.

Ellie lives in South Saint Paul with her two cats, and goes to Menomonie as often as she can to ride her horse.
Please welcome Ellie soon—and spread the word to parents with younger children that our nursery is now fully staffed on Sunday mornings!
