Falcon Heights Church, United Church of Christ, is seeking a part-time Youth Ministry and Outreach Coordinator. We are an LGBTQIA-Open and Affirming church. This position is for approximately 20 hours a week and will start not earlier than fall 2021.

Ideal candidates have community outreach experience and are committed to leading a teaching and learning ministry that shares sacred stories reaching body, mind and spirit; nurturing a life of prayer and spiritual growth and Christ-like community working for peace and justice; and engaging participants in exploring how children, youth, and families can contribute to and be nurtured by the ministry of the church.

The position is 80 percent ministry with youth of all ages; 20 percent is community outreach. Must have excellent communication skills and experience with variety of electronic communications tools; ability to relate to youth of all ages and developmental stages, including needs of gender-fluid/LGBTQIA; experience with curriculum and ability to deliver programming through a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion; commitment to continuous professional growth; adaptable, flexible, collaborative, non-judgmental.

Salary range $23,500 to $25,000, plus PTO and professional development time and funds. Hiring subject to successful background check.
